Mauro Giaconi, - 44 year old Argentine artist working in Mexico City - presents Cuántico Espiritual, his second solo exhibition at the Bendana | Pinel Art Contemporain gallery, in Paris.

This exhibition is composed of two new series of works. On the one hand, a series of drawings that unfolds on the walls of the gallery, a series in which he intervenes on the images that make up the hegemonic narrative of history. Giaconi interweaves them, connects them, proposes a new order, new possible landscapes. And on the other hand sculptures of everyday objects, construction tools, kitchen utensils, ... with which he explores the idea of a world after this world.
The work is based on the exploration of the material and symbolic characteristics of objects and images. He manipulates their perception to transform reality, proposes scenarios and landscapes in tension between reality and fiction, sowing doubt on the veracity of the context that surrounds us.

The gallery

Contemporary art collector and diplomat, Juan Carlos Bendana-Pinel definitely put aside his career to open a gallery in the Parisian district of Le Marais in 2008. The focus was placed on creation in all its forms (painting, sculpture, photography, video, installation, drawing) and a program laying great emphasis on international artists, mostly European and Latin American.

For the first time in Europe, he held exhibitions of artists Pablo Lobato and Pedro Motta from Brazil, Florencia Rodriguez Giles and Mauro Giaconi from Argentina, Francisca Aninat from Chili, Alejandra Laviada from Mexico, Giancarlo Scaglia from Peru, and Niklas Goldbach from Germany.

He is the only representative in France of the Swedish Maria Friberg and Thomas Broomé, the Germans Matthias Reinmuth and Julio Rondo, the Argentinian Miguel Rothschild, the Brazilians Débora Bolsoni, Dias & Riedweg and Caio Reisewitz, the Swiss Olivier Richon, the Israeli Irit Batsry, the Chilean Sandra Vásquez de la Horra and the Mexicans Lake Verea.

He also promotes artists living in France, in particular Steven Le Priol, Christiane Pooley, Alberto Cont.

Bendana | Pinel Art Contemporain participates in international fairs: FIAC, (OFF)ICIELLE, Paris Photo, Drawing Now (Paris), ART-O-RAMA (Marseille), Artissima (Turin), Loop (Barcelona), Arco (Madrid), ArteBA (Buenos Aires), ARTLIMA (Lima), Ch.ACO (Santiago), ARTRIO (Rio de Janeiro), ZONAMACO (Mexico City), sp-arte (São Paulo), Art | Basel Miami (Miami) and artgenève (Geneva).
