On the occasion of the release of a major monograph devoted to Kees Visser's 50-year career, the gallery is pleased to devote a new solo exhibition to one of the artists with whom it has had the longest association. Published by NAi Publishers, this 320-page monograph was conceived with the close collaboration of Irma Boom, and with the support of the Mondrian Foundation. Entitled "Monochrome?", it includes a long essay by art historian Hubert Besacier and Marja Bloem, former curator at the Stedelijk Museum.

The Kees Visser Exhibition will bring together in the main hall a group of the artist's most recent paintings, playing with subtlety on a monochrome that is more polychromatic than one might think.

In a dialogue as friendly as formal as Kees Visser wished, the two cabinets will present minimalist paintings by the American artist John Zurier, in partnership with the gallery Claes Nordenhake.

The gallery

The Galerie Poggi collaborates with some fifteen French and international artists of different generations and has become one of the most important contemporary art galleries in France. Very present on the international scene, it participates in major fairs such as Art Basel (Basel) and Art Basel Miami Beach (USA), FIAC (Paris), Armory Show (New York), ARCO (Madrid), ARTBO (Bogota), Artissima (Turin), etc. Particularly recognized for its work of prospection, the gallery endeavors to offer to artists who are often on the margins of contemporary art an institutional and economic recognition. This was notably the case for artists such as Kapwani Kiwanga who won the Marcel Duchamp Prize in 2020 or Anna-Eva Bergman.
