Waddington Custot
Le Choc Nabi
Group show
Paul Sérusier, Bretonne allaitant, 1892, huile sur toile, 73 x 55 cm, Courtesy Waddington Custot
Inaugurating Waddington Custot’s Paris space, Le Choc Nabis highlights this pioneering movement of European modernism. Featuring works by Bonnard, Denis, Vuillard, Sérusier and Ranson, the exhibition emphasizes their bold use of color, flattened forms and symbolic intensity. In dialogue with contemporary artists such as Etel Adnan, Ian Davenport and Fabienne Verdier, it reveals the enduring relevance of a subjective and profoundly modern vision of painting.
Group show of Emile Bernard, Pierre Bonnard, Maurice Denis, Charles Filiger, Paul Ranson, József Rippl-Rónai, Ker-Xavier Roussel, Paul Sérusier et Edouard Vuillard, Etel Adnan, Ben Arpéa, Marcel·la Barcelo, Ian Davenport, Marcel Dzama, Pierre Knop, Nicolas Party, François Réau, Anne Rothenstein, Christine Safa and Fabienne Verdier.
