"Fleuve mémoire"
Légende : Christophe TISSOT - Fleuve Mémoire 10 - L’Ile d’or - Huile sur papier - Dim: 2,10 m x 2,80 m
In 2006, Christophe Tissot created Fleuve Mémoire, a monumental work conceived as a vast 30-meter-long polyptych composed of 11 contemplative scenes.
Inspired by the Loire and great rivers such as the Ganges, the Nile, the Niger, and the Amazon, this pictorial journey painted in oil on paper is a poetic path where the artist blends myths, symbols, and reality.
The diversity of animals, birds, and figures that populate each of the 11 diptychs invites us to reflect on both the beauty and the fragility of our world.
Le Fleuve Mémoire was sponsored in 2011 by Allain Bougrain Dubourg, president of the LPO.
As part of Paris Gallery Weekend, Galerie Cipango is pleased to present an excerpt from this major work.
