Perrotin is pleased to present Not Quite Tomorrow, GaHee Park’s second solo exhibition in Paris and her sixth with the gallery. In this new series, Park unveils paintings that depict seemingly idyllic scenes disrupted by subtle distortions. Drawing from the timeless tradition of still life, she captures sensual and intimate moments, yet her distinctive use of forced perspective unsettles the tranquility, introducing ambivalence and tension. Through this body of work, Park challenges both form and narrative, suspending her subjects in a surreal collapse of time and space.

Solo show of GaHee Park

From April 26th to May 24th, 2025

The gallery will be closed on Sunday, May 25th, 2025

The gallery

Emmanuel Perrotin founded Galerie Perrotin in 1990 at the age of twenty-one. Since then, he has opened over twenty different spaces, aiming to offer increasingly stimulating environments for artistic creation. He has been supporting artists, some for over thirty years, in the development of their most ambitious projects. Galerie Perrotin has locations in Paris, Hong Kong, New York, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Los Angeles. The total area of all its spaces amounts to approximately 8,000 square meters.

In Paris, Galerie Perrotin is situated in the Marais area, located at 76 Rue de Turenne in an 18th-century townhouse since 2005, and since 2007 at 10 Impasse Saint-Claude, totaling nearly 1600 m² over three levels. Additionally, the Salle de Bal, a showroom spanning 700 m², was inaugurated in 2014 in the Hôtel d’Ecquevilly, also known as the “du Grand Veneur” dating back to the 17th century. In June 2020, the gallery opened a new 70 m² space on Avenue Matignon in western Paris. Altogether, the galleries in Paris cover 2,550 m².

In May 2012, Perrotin Hong Kong was inaugurated at 50 Connaught Road Central, featuring 650 m² on the 17th floor, offering stunning views of Victoria Harbour. In 2020, Perrotin Hong Kong relocated to K11 ATELIER Victoria Dockside, on the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront.

From 2013 to 2016, Galerie Perrotin New York was located in a historic venue on the Upper East Side, on the iconic Madison Avenue. After three successful years, the gallery moved in April 2017 to 130 Orchard Street, with a space of 2300 m² in the heart of Manhattan's most dynamic neighborhood, the Lower East Side, which includes a large bookstore presenting editions and books published by the gallery.

In 2016, Perrotin opened a gallery in Seoul in the Jongno-Gu neighborhood, facing the President's residence, the Blue House, and the Gyeongbok Palace. In August 2022, Perrotin inaugurated Perrotin Dosan Park in the heart of the new cultural and luxury district, featuring the Horim Art Center, the SONGEUN Art and Cultural Foundation, Hermès, Louis Vuitton Seoul, and two major Korean auction houses. The building, which comprises two floors with an exhibition space of approximately 250 square meters, was designed by KIAS (Kentaro Ishida Architects Studio) in collaboration with Yoki Design and Kenny Ho.

In June 2017, Perrotin opened a 140 m² gallery in Tokyo, on the ground floor of the Piramide building at 6-6-9 Roppongi Minato-ku Tokyo, in the heart of Roppongi, a neighborhood that hosts numerous museums such as the Mori Art Museum, the Suntory Museum of Art, and the National Art Center (Art Triangle Roppongi), as well as significant galleries. After expansion works in 2019, the gallery now spans 230 m².

In 2018, Perrotin opened a new gallery in Shanghai, located in the heart of the Bund district. The gallery occupies the top floor of a historic brick building known as the "Amber Building" at 27 Huqiu Road. Built in 1937, this building is a former warehouse that was used by the Central Bank of China during the Republican period. With an area of 1300 square meters, the gallery features multiple exhibition spaces and a mezzanine, highlighting the building's original elements.

In 2024, Perrotin inaugurated a gallery in Los Angeles, in the former Del Mar Cinema located at 5036 West Pico Boulevard, in the Mid-City neighborhood. Key elements of the historic building, including the facade and light panels, ticket booth, showcases, and main hall, have been preserved and adapted into exhibition spaces. The original neon sign from the Del Mar has been restored, as well as the facade announcing the gallery's programming. The blue and gray striped motif unifies the building with bold graphics, echoing the heritage of billboards and advertising that punctuate the urban boulevards of Los Angeles (architect Johnston Marklee and interior designer Jamie Bush + Co.). Both buildings, dating back to the 1930s, total 930 square meters.

Galerie Perrotin participates in over twenty fairs per year, including Art Basel (Hong Kong, Basel, Miami, Paris +), Frieze (London, New York, Los Angeles, Seoul), Dallas Art Fair, Expo Chicago, Art021 & West Bund Art & Design (Shanghai), The Armory Show, TEFAF New York, Art Geneva...

The gallery's offerings have diversified in recent years, including the organization of conferences, workshops for children, concerts, as well as the production of videos and podcasts.

The gallery also publishes books, editions, and artist prints, available at each of the Perrotin bookstores.
