Zoom on Modern Art

A benchmark art market magazine, Gazette Drouot has been accompanying the emergence and success of many of the great names in modern art for 134 years. We are therefore honoured to accompany this Zoom exhibition of sixteen galleries. Starting in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, where not far from the Art Maggiore gallery, the historic Larock-Granoff, which celebrated its 100th anniversary last year, presents a group show in tribute to Pierre Larock, while Patrice Trigano devotes a solo show to Alberto Magnelli, dominated by a historic canvas from 1914. The Marais offers a full program, with, for example, a confrontation at Suzanne Tarasieve’s gallery between works by Otto Dix and Anne Wenzel on the theme of war, and Andréhn Schiptjenko showing for the first time in Paris an important Swedish modernist artist, Siri Derkert. Also not to be missed are Jean-François Cazeau, Alain Margaron, L’Avant-Galerie Vossen, Zlotowski and Les Douches. In the Matignon district, Hélène Bailly brings forward two sure-fire names, Pablo Picasso and Moïse Kisling, while Taménaga takes the opportunity to celebrate Jean-Pierre Cassigneul’s 90th birthday. Other must-sees include Opéra Gallery and Pron.
