"Les chaînes de Jean Grisoni"
Artist-designer and (now rarely) author of jewelry, Jean Grisoni will present at the MiniMasterpiece gallery an unprecedented and exceptional ensemble of 15 pieces. Born in Algeria in 1950, Jean Grisoni draws most of his inspiration from his native Mediterranean. Marked by his roots, his brutalist poetry is imbued with the mineral aridity of the coastline, the unique light of desert roughness, the discreet and austere sensuality of its inhabitants, and the power of cultural references that immerse every moment. Polished or rusted steel, driftwood, antique beads, gold, silver, bronze—Grisoni combines and plays with these raw or precious elements to compose his jewelry, each one being unique and handmade. The chain has become over time the backbone of his wearable sculptures, which he creates and recreates without ever repeating himself. A refined and powerful exercise in style.

The gallery
The MiniMasterpiece Gallery - created in spring 2012 by Esther de Beaucé - is the first Parisian gallery exclusively dedicated to the edition of jewelry by visual artists and contemporary designers. An artist's jewel, just like a sculpture, is a work of art. Born from the same creative process, it possesses the strength, poetry, provocation, and sometimes humor of art. Only their final destination distinguishes them, whether it be the collector's wall or their body... The ambition of the gallery is to invite renowned artists and designers to conceive original and exclusive projects of wearable sculptures.
