Galerie Arnoux
Abstraits des années 50, acquisitions récentes et oeuvres inédites
Group show
This exhibition showcases the work of the abstract avant-gardists of the 2nd School of Paris, a specialty of the Arnoux gallery for about 36 years. It perfectly illustrates the dual vocation of the gallery: to bring together painters from the primary market, whom it has supported for many years, with works by artists who already have significant renown, including Bissière, Le Moal, Leppien, Manessier, Marfaing, Schneider, Singier, and Zack.
“Acquisitions récentes et œuvres inédites”
From May 23 to July 20, 2024
The gallery
Since 1986, the primary mission of the gallery has been to discover or rediscover the abstract avant-gardes of the 1950s (2nd School of Paris); it is therefore dedicated to exhibitions or retrospectives of artists from this period, often exclusively, whose work it supports in the long term. In 2024, the focus is still on the abstract artists of the 1950s, but more specifically those who already enjoy strong renown and increasing demand.
The gallery is constantly searching for their works to organize constantly renewed exhibitions around the following names: Roger Bissière, Jean Leppien, Alfred Manessier, Georges Noël, Gérard Schneider, Gustave Singier... But also Jacques Germain, Elvire Jan, Jean Le Moal, André Marfaing, Léon Zack, and a few others... Without forgetting the artists supported by the gallery (primary market), Wanda Davanzo, Ernest Engel-Pak, Oscar Gauthier, Wladyslaw Lopuszniak, David Malkin, Paul Tenèze.
