For its (re)opening, Maëlle Galerie presents "EMBRACE THE LIGHT". Olivia Maëlle Breleur proposes a fundamentally humanist exhibition, with a cathartic conception. It is a mise en abîme of the relationship between the body and the spirit, summoning animism, esotericism and mysticism. She mixes her influences, her Creole identity and the questions of contemporary life. The visitor is drawn into a trance of forms and spatial practices.
Reminding us of the catachresis of "rays and shadows", "A mental-cide / un bain démarré", by Mirtho Linguet, engages us in a transcendental atmosphere, composed of prominent shadows and a radiant beam of light. The started bath, an ancestral practice of purification of the body and the soul, symbolic and healing, introduces the sensitive acuity of the being and the need of regeneration of the spirit.
Like "Peaceful Warrior", by Tabita Rézaire, where the notions of nature and
and culture become entangled. The works intervene like precious talismans,
galvanizing by metamorphic snippets, the ordinary life.
From the chaos are born the stars...
Where Ernest Breleur attracts us with "Le vivant, passage par le féminin", in the heart
of his translucent oval, cosmic figure, founder of all things and yet
impalpable. The whole vibrates in an ovidian symphony with the paces of an initiatory rite. Here,
the creation becomes an existential and reactive tool, between hope and aspiration...
Of a sensitive world. Restored.

The gallery

In 2012 Olivia Maëlle Breleur founded Maëlle Gallery, a gallery supporting contemporary art on a national and international scale. In 2021, it moved from central Paris to a third address in the Greater Paris area, to KOMUNUMA, Romainville, enabling it to increase its exhibition space fivefold.
Over the past few years the gallery has also featured in various international fairs: ZsONA MACO (Mexico), Untitled (Miami), AKAA (Paris), Art Paris (Paris) to name but a few.
In addition, Maëlle Galerie is an active member of the Paris Gallery Map and the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d'Art.
