gb agency, as an exhibition space, is a place where social and existential realities are made and unmade, questioned, where forms and practices are invented, tested and deployed. A free place, where we trust, where we can doubt, make mistakes, resist, criticise. A place where other people's words can be expressed and heard. A place with free access, which produces exchange and sharing. The gb agency programme was created in the context of the late 1990s when Europe was determining itself by confronting different ideologies. Its exhibitions experiment with equivalence of values at a time when neo-liberalism is still dying to reappear in one form or another. gb agency has built itself from a distanced reading of our relationship to reality, from a non-linear rereading of our art history, paying homage to free and sinuous paths and not to marked and validated movements. In the image of Robert Breer's transgressive and elusive 'Floats', life crosses the exhibition space, which becomes the terrain where the movements of the body and human relationships are played out in an organic and free manner.
