The artist's paintings are inspired by "The Conference of the Birds", a masterpiece by the Sufi poet, Farid al -Din Attar (1142-1220): this work tells the story of thirty birds who, guided by a hoopoe, set out on an initiatory journey in search of Simorgh, (the mythical bird) in order to choose him as their king. At the end of a mystical and existential epic, they discover that Simorgh is none other than themselves: "The sun of my majesty is a mirror. He who sees himself in this mirror, sees his soul and his body."
Based in Paris, the Galerie 27 Concept markets contemporary arts from emerging artists. At the intersection between art, and poetry from East and West, the place is in itself a small trip. The artworks exhibited here testify to the mixing of cultures, different arts, and techniques.
