For his second solo exhibition at the DOUBLE V Gallery, Maximilien Pellet deploys on the walls and in the space his images painted in clay, in the form of a large ornamental lexicon and continues his pictorial research at the borders of the decorative arts.

The gallery

Inaugurated in 2016 in the heart of the antique dealers’ district in Marseille, Double V Gallery aims to be a singular exhibition space where various art forms, generations and notoriety rub shoulders. Its director, Nicolas Veidig-Favarel, proposes a different relationship between the gallery owner and the artist, guided by the emotion generated by the works, which invite pleasure as much as debate. It invites the collector to perceive the work as a living organism, a bearer of meaning, with which he or she will be led to live; and makes the gallery a warm meeting place where the artist, the gallery owner and the enlightened art lover come together in the same collective adventure.

Double V affirms its will to become a place of diffusion for the international scene, with a particular attention paid to emerging artists: Alice Guittard, Maximilien Pellet, Manoela Medeiros, Ugo Schiavi, ou Inês Zenha...

In May 2021, Double V will continue its development with the inauguration of a new 80m2 space in Paris, in the Marais district. The aim is to expand the exposure of its artists while maintaining its Mediterranean roots.
