Permanent Exhibition – 18th-century Furniture and Works of Art

Crafted in the 18th century, under the reigns of Louis XIV, Louis XV, and Louis XVI, the works in our collection are selected for their provenance and the quality of their execution. Created by the foremost artisans of their time, they reflect refined taste and unparalleled craftsmanship.

From the Louis XIV taste to Neoclassicism, designers continually reinvented forms, techniques, and ornaments. Tastes evolved throughout the century, constantly redefining the notions of modernity and luxury.

Sought after from their inception by discerning collectors, these works later entered some of the most prestigious collections, including those of the Rothschild barons and the Schlumberger family. Today, their counterparts can be found in leading museums worldwide—institutions that several pieces from our collection have already joined.
